The main purpose of the Temp Assistant Account is to provide assistance to the Financial Accounting Manager

.

General Duties:

General Ledger

Month end general ledger recons performed accurately and timeously Monthly/Month end entries to be completed timeously Maintenance of daily job streams and posting to General Ledger Balancing of Modules to General Ledger Processing of month end on SAP Processing of salary and wage interfaces into SAP

Foreign Creditors

Manage foreign creditor payments. Ensure creditors are paid on time Preparation and submission of SARB approval documents

Cash Flow

Assist with Cash Flow reporting Month end and weekly balance reporting for corporate

Specific Duties

Assist in review of key/problematic Creditor Recons when required Claims account to be followed up on and cleared timeously GRN trial balance to be reviewed on a monthly basis Investigation into expense queries Assistance with budget/forecasts as necessary Assistance with monthly/quarterly reporting Any other ad hoc duties as required Management of Debtor accounts Preparation and submission of VAT return Support Cashbook position Reconciliation of Fixed Assets, recording of disposals and reporting Sundry invoicing and reconciliation Manage foreign float and travel reimbursements Intercompany invoicing and confirmations Review Freight Expenditure Manage and report on CAPEX expenditure Fixed Asset additions and physical verification Adherence to safety, health, and environment regulations as well as ensuring the availability and adherence to PPE requirements. Proactively act to prevent any possible safety incidents in area of responsibility. From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent

Requirments:

A relevant Financial tertiary qualification 2 - 5 years in an assisting accountant/bookkeeper position Experience in foreign creditors and excellent excel skills is essential. SAP experience will be an added advantage * SAIPA articles will be an added advantage
