Temp Executive Chef

Our client in the Health Care industry is currently looking for a Temp Executive Chef for 7days , in Pinelands, Cape Town.Responsibilities:

Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurants opening
Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers to that point in the line
Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal
Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods
Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes
Cleaning and sanitising their area with warm water and soap
Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift
Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment

Requirements:

Expert knowledge of the restaurant or organizations cuisine.
Advanced culinary skills including food preparation, flavor pairings and other cooking best practices.
Ability to develop unique recipes.
Current knowledge of trends in the restaurant industry.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state and local food handling regulations.
Comfortable training, directing and supervising kitchen staff.
Exceptional leadership skills, including motivation and goal-setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Time management and organization
