Job Description


Our client in the Manufacturing and Distribution industry is currently looking for a Temporary Internal Sales & Procurement Assistant, in Germiston, Gauteng.Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Help maintain a database of approved vendors and manage relationships with them.
  • Assist with vendor communication, including inquiries and updates on purchase orders.
  • Procurement Process:
  • Assist in preparing purchase orders and contracts in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of procurement requisitions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to determine procurement needs and ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Record-Keeping and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Assist in creating procurement reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and updating the procurement system.
  • Assist in auditing and ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Manage procurement calendars and schedules, coordinating meetings and calls with suppliers and team members.
  • Support procurement team with administrative tasks such as filing, answering queries, and responding to internal requests.
  • Assist in any ad-hoc projects assigned by the manager.
  • Internal Sales:
  • Assist sales team with administrative tasks such as preparing quotes, proposals, and sales reports.
  • Efficiently process incoming sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Any relevant certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience in handling procurement software and tools.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Remuneration:
  • R13 000 xe2x80x93 R15 000 per month.
