Tender Engineer
Job Description
Essence of the job:This role is crucial for securing new business with excellent technical understanding, and cost estimations specifically within the context of water treatment projects. Ideal candidate must be able to interpret technical information and formulate the bill of quantities into a competitive tender bid. Must have strong communication skills and proven track record in tender preparation and submissions. The incumbent will be based in the costings and proposal department.Qualification:Must have a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Quantity Surveying diploma or related field.Minimum Requirements:10-12 years relevant experience, of which 5 years were in a middle HR management position.Pension/Provident Fund regulationsUnderstanding of Civil Engineering and Building Bargaining Councils.Thorough knowledge, understanding and application of Human Resources best practices.Display up to date, in depth knowledge of HR practices as well as company policies, processes and systems as well as extensive understanding of business and the company's operations.Extensive knowledge of the labour related legislation and its applications.Extensive labour relations experience, with industrial action and strike management.Remuneration practices.Experience in dealing with Unions / Councils, etc.Computer literacy (MS Office)Sage 300 PeoplePresentation and Facilitation skillChange Management SkillsProblem solving and trouble shooting skillsAnalytical skills.
