Job Responsibilities: Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:
Comply with SHEQ requirements
Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ related activities.
Customers:
Understand how the operation works and the effect of the instrumentation on its deliverables.
Execute work autonomously in designated plant areas of responsibility.
Take full responsibility in delivering excellence.
Conduct regular schedule plant inspections.
Provide feedback to operational and maintenance personnel in designated plant areas after completion of required tasks.
Attend designated plant areas production and maintenance meetings as required.
Monitoring of MES in area of responsibility, ensuring correctness of data.
Continuous improvement around instrumentation in assigned plant area.
Identify and register improvement projects.
Business Process: Unplanned Interventions:
Attend to breakdown quickly and safely.
Capture all data related to the stoppage to aid in determining the root cause.
Communicate ways of improving how the breakdown was handled to the Maintenance Specialist. Planning:
Provide weekly feedback and input to the Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist to ensure proper planning of scheduled tasks.
Communicate all required spares and services to the Instrumentation Maintenance Planner, all communications to be traceable.
Work execution will entail:

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:
Relevant N6 (External candidates)
Relevant N4 Studying towards N5 (Internal candidates)
Instrumentation Trade Test
3 Years relevant experience
Computer Literacy, SAP
Good knowledge of field instruments
Experience on Siemens control systems will be advantageous
Experience on Profibus networks will be advantageous
Experience on ferrochrome smelter industries will be advantageous
Valid drivers license (person should have a vehicle to perform standby duties)
