Purpose of Role
About the role:
This role supports the Head of OTC and Logistics in managing day-to-day MOVE operations with 3PL partners and the overall warehouse spectrum effectively and efficiently, ensuring all standards and controls are in place. Success in this role is measured through cost-effectiveness, customer collaborative partnerships, good governance, and achievement of MOVE target KPIs.
Due to its location, the person in this role is also a key stakeholder and member of the OTC Leadership Team, supporting and influencing improved performance.
This role has no direct reports.
Role Responsibilities:Manage End-to-End Distribution Requirements (CI):
Work in partnership with 3PL to ensure network optimization and transport efficiencies are reviewed frequently (Primary and Secondary).
Influence and drive cost-effectiveness, continuously manage and monitor customer service levels, utilizing applicable models to ensure the greatest service delivery.
Review and understand warehouse capacity requirements and constraints - partner with Planning and 3PL to ensure optimal solutions are in place.Monitor, Manage, and Improve 3PL Performance Levels:
Lead SPM reviews, track set KPI milestones, suggest improvements, and implement initiatives.Drive Compliance Culture:
Ensure all applicable controls and checks (within Move & H&SE) are well established, measured, tracked & tested monthly. This includes E2E Inventory Management & movements, process controls, Quality Control (Finished Goods, Raw & Pack Material).Collaborate with Business Stakeholders:
Partner with relevant business stakeholders (commercial, Plan, Move & Make) to ensure execution of the Diageo Strategy in a fully joint-up business process while supporting the Customer Collaboration Global Diageo program.Support In-House and co-packing Warehouse Teams (as required):
As required, Supports in Raw and Pack warehouse teams to deliver an effective warehouse operation while adhering to compliance matrixes.Leverage 3PL & Supplier Networks:
Harness the full extent of 3PLs' capabilities along with supplier networks; influence non-direct reports to deliver against Diageo's ambitions and goals.Support Market Requirements Across COE:
Work closely with stakeholders to support market requirements across the Centre of Excellence (COE).
Experience / skills required:Minimum 5 years' experience within a customer service environment and / or logistics management.
Proven ability to develop solutions for managing both on-site/off-site warehouses.
Demonstrated ability to engage teams effectively towards achieving planned goals.
Degree in Business or BSc related field within supply chain management.
Excellent communication skills both verbal/written combined with strong engagement capability at all organizational levels.
Proficiency using WMS systems; ability to guide others on their usage.
Strong numeracy skills; adept at applying KPIs for driving performance management across all warehouse levels.

Inability to uphold Standards - The role holder will be expected to embrace the EISC Standards, apply them effectively in their role and adhere to them at all times.Lack of understanding of Performance Management - The role holder will understand the importance of tiered performance management, identifying critical KPIs and required practices on a shift, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis with the ability to bring suppliers on the same journey.Inability to drive Continuous Improvement - the role holder will be expected to be flexible and embrace change, continually looking for ways to improve everything they do. They will use various continuous improvement tools and techniques to solve problems.
