Job Description
We have a job opening at one of our retail stores based in Bloemfontein. This role will assist in the day-to-day running as a Till Operator with the ultimate purpose of maximising sales and profitability. This role will also be responsible for excellent customer service in all aspects, representing the Company in a professional way by always being neat, well presented and well spoken.Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Good communication skills
- Works well under pressure
- Fully bilingual in AFRIKAANS and English
- Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Collect payments whether in cash/card or credit
- Issue receipts, refunds or change
- Redeem vouchers
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- State on the cash-up if the cash up is balanced, over or under.
- Bag, box or gift-wrap packages
- Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
- Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
- Balances cash float by counting cash at the beginning and end of the work shift.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
