Job Description
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join their manufacturing team in the rubber industry in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining tools, molds, and equipment used in the production of rubber products.Responsibilities:
- Design and create molds, tools, and equipment for the production of rubber products
- Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Repair and modify existing tools and molds as needed
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with tools and equipment
- Work closely with production team to ensure tools and equipment meet production requirements
- Keep accurate records of tooling inventory and maintenance activities
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the rubber industry
- Proficiency in operating machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for design and machining
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Technical qualification in Toolmaking or related field
