TOUR GUIDE [HOSPITALITY]Location: CederbergOur client in the hospitality sector is looking for a Tour Guide to join their lodge and assist with guest activities.Please note this is a Full-Time, Live-In position.Responsibilities:

• Conduct informative and engaging guided game drives and nature walks for guests.
• Deliver high-quality guest experiences tailored to guests, ensuring personalised service and memorable encounters.
• Share knowledge about local flora, fauna, and the cultural history of the region.
• Ensure guest safety while on excursions and outdoor activities.
• Operate and maintain 4x4 vehicles used for game drives.
• Conduct pre- and post-drive vehicle checks, reporting any maintenance needs.
• Keep all guiding equipment in excellent condition, ensuring readiness for all excursions.
• Maintain a valid First Aid certification and be prepared to respond to medical emergencies.
• Educate guests on safety procedures before and during activities.
• Implement protocols for wildlife interactions, including snake handling (if experienced).
• Assist with Front of House (FOH) and restaurant service when needed, especially during lodge functions.
• Manage guiding schedules and guest activity planning in coordination with lodge management.
• Provide reports on guest feedback, sightings, and vehicle conditions.
• Work closely with other lodge departments to ensure smooth guest experiences.
• Assist with hosting duties such as guest check-ins, briefings, and evening interactions.

Requirements:

• FGASA Apprentice Field Guide (Level 1).
• Must have driver's license, PDP, First Aid certification.
• 4 x 4 Experience.
• Proven experience guiding within 5 star establishments.
• Good communications skills and time management.
• Computer literate.
• Snake handling knowledge beneficial.
