TRACK DOZER OPERATOR - CENTURIONFull job descriptionEXTERNAL ADVERTTRACK DOZER OPERATORSLomeza Opencast Operations (Pty) Ltd is looking for a passionate and goal driven Track Dozer Operator, who will be based at Northern Cape Hotazel area. The qualified and suitable candidates applying for this position should meet the below minimum requirements.Requirements:xc2xb7 Grade 12 or equivalent.xc2xb7 Code 10 Drivers licence.xc2xb7 Valid Track Dozer competency certificate.xc2xb7 Dover test with Symbol A.xc2xb7 3 years work-related experience in Opencast Operations.xc2xb7 Medically Fit.xc2xb7 Operational knowledge of opencast mining and earth moving equipment.xc2xb7 Must understand the importance of working safely.Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Ensures work/loading areas are in an acceptable condition for use:Build new roads as and when required according to set requirementsEnsure that the loading areas are well maintained by dozingEnsure that there are no spillages in the loading areaMonitor condition of loading area/ and respond appropriately to deviationsClean all spillages in areaDress the loading area with fines as requiredEnsure that required grade elevation is maintainedKeep floors level by ripping off any high spots/protruding rocksxc2xb7 Maintain dumping areas to set standards:Dress the dumping area with fines as requiredEnsure that the dumping areas are well maintained by dozingEnsure that there are no spillages in the dump areaEnsure area is adequately lit during darknessEnsure that haul trucks are tipping according to procedureBuild safety berms 1.5m highBuild ramps to the grade requiredMonitor condition of dump areas and respond appropriately to deviationsxc2xb7 Support maintenance of operating equipment to set standards:Conduct daily inspections of equipment prior to usageReport any defects or deviations observed/to the dispatch operatorsAssist in maintaining prescribed lubricant, cooling and battery water levelsClean the operator cab at the end of the shift.xc2xb7 Safety, Health and Environment:Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalitiesIdentify specific risks within area and adhere to discipline - specific plans/systems to avoid these risks.Job Type: Full-timeEducation:High School (matric) (Preferred)Experience:Related Opencast Operations Work: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:Code 10 Drivers licence (Required)Track Dozer Competency Certificate (Required)Dover test with Result: A (Required)
