Job Description

The primary purpose of the Trade Manager position is to develop and integrate marketing initiatives into the South African Wholesale and Outlet channels and the Sub Sahara Export markets to leverage local and global marketing initiatives to maximize local business growth, profitability, and consumer equity. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO; Plan and Execute channel marketing activity into Wholesale, Outlets & Export markets by creating and executing a 12-month calendar Work with Key Account mangers & marketing teams at Key accounts to ensure projects are delivered within budget Manage all elements required ot deliver agreed marketing activity (promotions/ sponsorships etc) Drive PR for key messaging in channels Deliver Social Media for key account platforms & key Export markets accounts and Levis owned pages Support all Wholesale.com marketing needs Work with BE on all new launches Key account event management Management of 3rd party agency relationship Reporting Monthly Business Review, all campaigns, Quarterly Business Review Channel budget management Wholesale/Outlet/Export store opening marketing support Support seasonal line sell in showcases Assist marketing team with ad hoc events The Trade Manger is accountable to the Head of Marketing and will liaise extensively with; Brand Manager DTC Assistant Brand Manager Wholesale Lead & Retail Lead (Outlets) Retail Ops Manager District Manager Key account Managers Brand Environment Manager Wholesale & Retail (Outlets) Store Managers and Stylists Merchants Retail (Outlet) & Wholesale Planners Agency partners Outlet Mall Marketing partners TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability Excellent execution and attention to detail Trade marketing experience Outstanding organization and time management skills Digitally proficient Budget management Problem solving skills and a sense of urgency with decision making Accountability for the results and the drive for mutual success Effective interpersonal skills QUALIFICATIONS Tertiary qualified in a relevant degree Marketing or Business Management Strong understanding of digital marketing Extensive knowledge of Trade marketing Experience of 3+ years in a similar position Strong written and verbal skills Team player
