Purpose of the JobHouse & Home, a division of The Shoprite Group, Africa's largest retailer, currently has an exciting opportunity available to join our team as a Regional Manager.This development role is based in Johannesburg and involves extensive travel across South Africa. Job ObjectivesTo maximise profitability and sustainable development of the retail operations of specifically the Furniture Division in collaboration with the Operations Manager, Regional Managers and Regional Admin Managers by creating an optimal environment through:
- Monitoring and ensuring a consistent implementation of company policy, standards, procedures and systems within the regions;
- Overseeing the effective management of human resources within the regions;
- Growing market share within the region and to manage risk within the regions;
- Operationalising tactical plans for maintaining and improving retail practices and systems used,
- Supporting, monitoring, co-ordinating and managing the work done by staff,
- Meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
QualificationsEssential;Grade 12 or equivalentRetail Diploma would be advantageous
ExperienceEssential(3 years) Branch management in a big store, would be to your advantage.Branch management in different stores and regions would be to your advantage.
Knowledge and SkillsEssentialBasic Financial (e.g. GP, growth) principles.Basic business principlesFMCG principlesMerchandising standards and principlesKnowledge on all different departmentsIR KnowledgeDrivers Licence
