Job Description


A leading pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for a Training Manager.

Job Purpose:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs to ensure the continuous development and effectiveness of our employees within the pharmaceutical industry. As a Training Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our workforce, ultimately contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:

  • Develop and implement training programs that align with the organization's strategic objectives and compliance standards.
  • Identify training needs through collaboration with Line Manager, Medical, Department Heads, HR, and other stakeholders.
Curriculum Design:
  • Create and update training materials, manuals, and documentation to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Utilize various training methodologies, including e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training, to address diverse learning styles.
Delivery and Facilitation:
  • Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for employees at various levels within the organization including on-boarding training, product and therapeutic area refresher trainings and soft-skills trainings
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to deliver specialized training in areas such as regulatory, compliance, quality, sales, marketing, HR, etc.
Evaluation and Feedback:
  • Implement assessment tools and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Develop and implement mock-detailing at sales conferences and ad-hoc sessions in collaboration with brand managers.
  • Analyze training metrics and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with Department Heads, HR, and cross-functional teams to understand organizational goals and align training initiatives accordingly
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure training programs adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain the quality and integrity of training materials and processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with training SOP
  • Responsible for updating training SOP when required
  • Participation in audits pertaining to training
  • Maintain up to date training registers and training matrices
  • Ensure all employees have a valid Marketing Code Authority certification
New employee on-boarding
  • Responsible for coordination of new employee on-boarding training
  • Prepare training matrix for each position within the company - including on-boarding training curriculum as well as periodic training requirements
Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Medical Sciences; advanced degree or certifications in training and development is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a Training Manager, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
  • Proficient in utilizing various training methodologies and technologies.
