Transport and Distribution Manager - East RandMinimum requirements:MatricAt least 5 years experience in Transport ManagementAt least 2 years experience as a ManagerKnowledge of transport methods, costs and benefitsGood knowledge of Microsoft OfficeComplex problem-solving skillsGood attention to detail.Excellent Communicatorxefxbbxbf Responsibilities:xefxbbxbfThe Transport Manager will be responsible for directing, coordinating, planning and overseeing tasks and operations involving transportation activitiesThis responsibility will extend to developing strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective functioning of the distribution servicesDevelop activities, considering the policy and objectives fixed by general managementCoach and develop his teamEnsure that nominated employees have the relevant skillsEnsure that his team master the necessary tools and processesImplement operational processes to be adhered to by all employees in the teamFollow and monitor budget goalsDefine, follow-up on and optimize, the annual budgetPilot profitability of his operations (GM+OR)Monitor the achievement of budget goalsDrawing up the dashboards and issuing the reportsManage and supervise the activityOptimize Purchasing and fleet managementFollow up of providers service quality according to service level requiredOversee the activities and performance indicatorsCarry out regular reviews together with main partners to analyse the results, adjust the objectives, develop prospects and update the improvement planBe responsible for data quality and integrityEnsure compliance requirements are fulfilledBe Responsible for local market expertiseInsure updating the rate database and the various transport-related taxes (DMP Platform when available)Assist & support middle & front office in the setting-up of solutionsPromote the communication from and towards the operations managers within their area of responsibility
