Because of our growth we are now excited to be adding a Transportation Technician (Roads/Drainage) to our Transportation Team.ResponsibilitiesWorking for and under the advisement of Professionals to fulfil transportation tasks.Assist with design and production of drainage, roadway, bridge, and transportation planning projects.Work in several computer programs, following training, to perform engineering and design tasks.Apply knowledge to calculations pertaining to design.Aid in the design of 3D models for projects.Assist in estimating cost for projects and funding.Assist project staff as needed for a variety of projects.QualificationsMinimum National Diploma in Civil EngineeringMinimum 2+ years experience in Roads/ DrainageMust have drafting experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D (MicroStation advantageous)PS&E Preparation ProcessDesign ExperienceEstimating ExperienceMust be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.Must be able to read, analyze and interpret basic scientific, technical, financial and legal documents.Must have average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community.Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.Must be familiar with discipline related software applications.
