Job Description


Job Summary: The Treasurer is responsible for managing an organization's financial assets, overseeing treasury operations, ensuring liquidity, mitigating financial risks, and optimizing investment strategies. This role requires strong financial acumen, risk management expertise, and strategic planning to support the organizations financial stability and growth.Key Responsibilities:1. Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Monitor and manage the companys cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions for optimal cash management solutions.
  • Forecast cash flow trends to support business decision-making and investment strategies.
2. Treasury Operations & Banking
  • Oversee daily treasury operations, including bank reconciliations, wire transfers, and payment processing.
  • Establish and maintain banking relationships, negotiate terms, and optimize banking structures.
  • Implement and maintain treasury management systems to enhance efficiency.
3. Risk Management & Compliance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, and credit risks.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Manage debt financing and capital structure to optimize cost and financial stability.
4. Investment & Funding Strategies
  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term investment strategies to maximize returns on idle cash.
  • Analyze and recommend funding options, including loans, bonds, and equity financing.
  • Support strategic financial planning, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital allocation.
5. Financial Reporting & Forecasting
  • Prepare and present treasury reports, including cash flow projections, funding status, and financial risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit requirements related to treasury functions.
6. Stakeholder & Board Engagement
  • Communicate financial insights and treasury performance to executive leadership and board members.
  • Provide recommendations for improving financial policies, procedures, and governance.
  • Support investor relations by providing insights into cash and investment performance.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CTP, CPA) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, investment strategies, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in multinational or corporate treasury functions.
  • Familiarity with ERP and treasury management software.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
