Key Responsibilities:Packing and Unpacking:

• Carefully pack clients belongings into boxes and containers.
• Label boxes accurately for easy identification and unpacking.
• Unpack items at the destination and place them in designated locations as directed by the client.

Loading and Unloading:

• Load furniture and other items onto moving trucks, ensuring they are secure and protected.
• Unload items from the truck at the destination, taking care not to damage property.

Transportation:

• Drive moving trucks or vans safely to the destination, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Ensure the moving truck is properly maintained and report any issues to the supervisor.

Customer Service:

• Communicate professionally and courteously with clients.
• Address any client concerns or special requests regarding the move.

Handling Fragile Items:

• Use appropriate techniques and materials to protect fragile items during the move.
• Ensure valuable items are handled with extra care and attention.

Inventory Management:

• Keep an accurate inventory of items being moved.
• Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

• Physical Fitness:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Driving License:

• Valid drivers license, with a clean driving record (if required to drive moving trucks).
• Experience:

• Previous experience in a moving or logistics role is preferred but not required.
• Skills:

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.

Working Conditions:

• Movers may work in various environments, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and storage facilities.
• The job often involves working in varying weather conditions.
