About RVSOur client, Royal Voluntary Service (RVS), is a leading UK charity managing one of the largest networks of volunteers across the country to deliver essential healthcare, homelessness, and food security services. RVS is embarking on an exciting digital transformation and hiring their first-ever tech team out of South Africa in their 80-year history.We are seeking a skilled and motivated UI / Product Designer to help guide the design of our cutting-edge greenfield platform as part of a significant digital transformation programme. This is a highly collaborative role, working within a cross-functional team to define requirements, develop iterative design options, and extensively test ideas prior to launch. You will ensure that we fully understand and meet our users' needs, leveraging strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and deep user understanding to drive an exceptional user experience.Consider applying if you want to make an impact whilst earning a competitive salary.You will be responsible for:

• Lead the end-to-end product design process, from ideation to final implementation. This includes designs for interfaces with UK-based volunteers and organisations/corporates (so for consumer-facing and corporate back-office functions)
• Create high-fidelity UI designs, interactive prototypes, and design systems using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• Work closely with UX designers to translate research insights into visually compelling and functional designs.
• Develop responsive and accessible UI components aligned with best practices and emerging design trends.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine and improve designs iteratively.
• Maintain and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency across products.
• Balance business objectives and user needs, advocating for a user-centric approach in product decisions.

RequirementsOur Ideal Candidate Has :

• Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Agile development practices and methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of user-centred design and interaction design principles.
• Familiarity with UX research methods and usability testing techniques.
• Understanding of application design best practices and emerging technologies.
• Skills:

• Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and UI design tools (Figma, Adobe XD).
• Experience working with task management tools (JIRA, Monday, ADO).
• Competence in document collaboration tools (Notion, Loop).
• Strong visual design skills, including typography, layout, and color theory.
• Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and communicate design rationale effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience:

• At least 3+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer or in a similar role.
• Proven portfolio showcasing UI design expertise for web and mobile applications.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with UX designers, developers, and product managers.
• Familiarity with design systems and component-based UI design.
