If you are passionate about underwriting and eager to contribute to a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply today and embark on an exciting journey with us.Duties and Responsibilities (Job Specifications):Process and underwrite new business quotes for the intermediaries.Responsible for large quotes - from quoting to policy issueProvide technical underwriting and rating advice and acceptance of risk to internal brokersacross all classes of insurance businessProvide support with referral risk, unique risk undefined or mandatesInterpret and process technical informationLoad new policies on the systemDo amendments to existing policies on the systemLiaise with managers and build relationships with intermediariesProcess policies on system for book take-overs and bulk increasesProduct & System knowledge of large Short-Term Insurance companiesPosition Requirements:Matric certificateRE1 or RE5 - recommendedMinimum COP or Insurance related qualification - recommended3 to 5 years experience in the insurance industry - sound knowledge of underwriting, policywordings, pricing and systemsComputer literacy - Microsoft office & must be able to do system processingStrong attention to detailsBilingual (English & Afrikaans)Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Working on Tial system (advantageous)Job Type: Full-timeAbility to Commute:
