RPO Recruitment's client is looking for an Underwriter to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of focus, attention to detail, and relevant industry experience. The role encompasses underwriting and claims responsibilities within the commercial insurance division.Responsibilities:Commercial and personal underwritingMarine underwriting (advantageous)Quotations for new businessPolicy amendments and endorsementsAssist with policy renewalsConduct pre-renewal discussions and negotiationsInstruct insurers to renew policiesPrepare and bind presentations (PowerPoint)Review loss ratiosUpdate motor vehicle valuesPrepare renewal comparisons for client presentations (Excel)Capture amendments and renewals on the Ski Host SystemCompile and forward relevant correspondence and supporting documentation to clientsRequirements:MatricMinimum 5 years' experience in the insurance brokerage industryExperience within an insurance brokerage is essentialKnowledge of exchange control (advantageous)Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointStrong product knowledge; marine knowledge is an advantageRE5 certificationBenefits
