We are looking to recruit an Agri UnderwriterRole ObjectivesTo underwrite in line with our underwriting guide. Provide First Call ResolutionEnhance Broker / Client Satisfaction and contribute to savings through effective risk management of policiesKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence to underwriting guidelines and standard operating proceduresAssess new business risk in accordance with business underwritingNew business acceptance and declinature of riskProviding technical underwriting expertise on underwriting referralsRe- Insurance referrals placementsTo act within the agreed mandate in terms of discount, acceptance of riskEndorsements, renewals, multi claimants, refunds and day to day queriesTake ownership of queries and provide feedback to clients, internal and external stakeholders timeouslyFollow the company standard operating procedures on all risk management processesEnsure that protocol is followed in terms of regulatory requirements and necessary disclosures to be made (TCF)Escalate queries or deviations from SOP to relevant managerAct within mandate from the relevant manager in terms of acceptance and rejection of riskEnsure that correct policy documents are sent to the clientsDelivering reliable underwriting support and customer service to the various claims departments and improving the overall customer experienceEstablish and nature relationship with brokers, BDCxe2x80x99s and other stake holdersIdentifying problems encountered by clients and proposing medium and long term resolutionsProposing new ways to improve technical functionality to facilitate service to meet SLA Foster and encourage team player within the team
Required Knowledge and ExperienceMinimum of 5 years agriculture underwriting experience is requiredUnderstanding of insurance principles and knowledge
