Unit Manager – Icu Trained Hospital Group (howick)
Job Description
Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of our client and evidence based practise
Evaluate the patients journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution
Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
Implement group quality initiatives
Liaise with public liability regarding all incidents of potential risk to business
A relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree / or relevant management qualification)
Post basic ICU qualification
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Unit Manager / Shift Leader in ICU
Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable healthcare legislations
Compulsory BLS certification
Advanced computer literacy
Knowledge and experience on Kronos will be beneficial
Flexible working hours / shifts
Between 3 - 5 Years
