PermanentPlease note if you are an internal employee on a fixed term contract please apply using an external candidate profile and not your employee profileMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo lead a quality and safe patient care experience that meets the set clinical standards through the optimal management of human and organisational resources within a structured unit.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASEnsure safe patient care by meeting set clinical quality standards according to company policies and proceduresManage and mitigate clinical risks in the unitLead and manage the staff in the unitManage the unit's operational and capital expenses according to financial and budget guidelines and ensure optimal utilisation of resourcesManage and actively contribute to a positive patient experience in the hospitalSupport the achievement of interdepartmental outcomesManage key stakeholder relationsREQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 3 or 4-year Diploma or 4 year Degree in Nursing; Postgraduate qualification in the unit's specialist area (if relevant)DESIRED EDUCATION: Nursing education qualification; Nursing management qualificationREQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital; 2-3 years leadership experience in a hospitalDESIRED EXPERIENCE: Infection Prevention and Control; Clinical FacilitationREQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
