Reports to: Nursing Services ManagerJob Summary A healthcare facility is seeking a Unit Manager: Paediatrics to lead and oversee all activities within the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence. The role involves providing leadership to staff, maintaining professional standards, and ensuring cost-effective service delivery within legal and policy frameworks.Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- B. Cur/Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Post-basic qualification in Child Nursing Science
- Bcur ED Admin qualification
- BLS certification (mandatory)
- Further Business Management qualification (advantageous)
- Updated ACLS/PALS/ATLS certification (advantageous)
- 3+ yearsxe2x80x99 managerial or supervisory experience
- Computer literacy
- Ensure compliance with SANC, Department of Health (DOH), and National Core Standards.
- Promote quality patient care through efficient unit management and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage ward administration, ensuring a safe and compliant patient environment.
- Oversee cost centre activities, including stock control, equipment management, and resource allocation.
- Supervise staff and agency personnel, implementing quality improvement initiatives where necessary.
