A vacancy is available for a Unit Manager to oversee the Neuro & Ortho and High Care Unit. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate clinical practices and resources within the unit, ensuring the achievement of key objectives related to quality care, growth, and people managementKey Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the units clinical operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
• Effectively allocate and manage resources to meet patient care needs and unit goals
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare standards
• Build strong relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise care delivery
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote their professional development
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless, integrated patient care
• Oversee unit budgeting, financial management, and resource utilisation
• Stay informed of industry best practices, trends, and changes in healthcare legislation

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Post-graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Relevant nursing experience to meet the critical outputs of the unit
• 2-3 years of experience in Orthopedics
• Proven leadership and people management skills are an advantage
• Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial management, and supply chain principles
• Familiarity with the private healthcare sector and its key stakeholders is advantageous
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed
