Responsible for managing and coordinating clinical practice and resources within the units to achieve the company and hospital's strategic objectives of quality, growth, and people
Orientation of new staff
To deploy staff and resources in accordance with policies
To manage the interview and selection of staff
Create an environment where staff are aware of the role, they play in the provision of quality care and their value to the organization
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that nursing care and service delivery are implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team
Building doctors relationship as stakeholders, communicating effectively with all stakeholders, and working in all disciplines
Requirements:
Degree/ Diploma in Nursing and registration with the South African Nursing Council
Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science is essential
A postgraduate qualification in Management and Nursing Education would prove advantageous
At least 3 years experience as a qualified theatre registered nurse
Proven leadership and/ or people management experience within healthcare
Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial and change management principles
Computer proficiency (MS Office)
