Job SummaryBased in Sandton the successful incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing an effective used car strategy that aligns with a premium brand positioning, achieves retail and customer satisfaction objectives, services brand loyalty and ensures dealer profitability. Additionally, the role includes managing approved suppliers to ensure benchmark products and service is offered to customers and dealers.Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Responsible for strategic and operational management of the Used Car programme
  • Co-management of Pre-owned franchises with Regional managers and Business Management to ensure KPI achievement
  • Analysis of used car market trends, analysis and interpretation of and competitor residual values
  • Development, implementation and management of Used Car franchise standards
  • Development of sales incentives, training programs, advertising and promotion strategies
  • Development and management of Used Car CI / CD, POS, merchandising
  • Responsible for the Fleet and Used Car Auction Sales
  • Develop financial offers together with Financial Services for demos and other used cars
  • Engage with Financial Services to steer/ manage residual values for financial services products
  • Responsible for the GFV remarketing process together with Financial Services
  • Planning and implementation of Dealer Used Car sales conferences
  • Support Rental & FML customers with residual value management
  • Relationship management with residual value aggregators e.g. Transunion, GetWorth etc.
Qualification requirementsA recognised 3-year National Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Commerce / Engineering / Business Management.Experience neededMinimum of 5 years motor industry experience, ideally within some of the following fields:
  • Product Planning
  • Volume Planning
  • Business Management
  • Brand Management
