At JHI, your contributions are encouraged and celebrated, ensuring a rewarding journey as you advance in your career.About the roleWe are seeking a Utility Manager to report on variances to the client, provide support to business unit on utility matters, manage the SLA with the utility management company on behalf of the client, administer utility billings to tenants and report on utility income, report on utility expense and queries. Manage staff effectively and provide guidance in terms of utility tasks. Present annual utility training to the team to ensure all parties are up to date with the latest workflow and industry standards Meet clients standards in terms of utility management as set out in the Service Level Agreement with the client, to plan, direct, coordinate and budget, either personally or through subordinate personnel, all activities concerned with the sustainability management of projects related to the national portfolio, whether capex, Tenant Installation or otherwise related which may include building construction and proactive preventative maintenance projects of assets.What you will bringDiploma in Utility Management.At least 5 years minimum experience within a utility's environment.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Proficiency in basic numeracy skillsTime management,Organizing skills,Ability to multi-task,Effective relationship building,Communication skills.Financial Acumen.Business Acumen.Staff managementWhat you will be doingIn this role, you will be required to: Implement environmental sustainability policies within portfolioEnsure appropriate utility management practices carried out within propertiesMonitor usage of utilitiesGenerate cost savings in consumption of electricity and waterIntroduce innovative greening initiatives for portfolioMonitor the Funds BEE strategy through appropriate procurement practicesAsset identification and management of asset registerTo design and establish suitable procedures for planned sustainable projects for their designated areas and to devise methods and procedures for effective control of the function, taking into account cost and effectivenessProject management of identified portfolio wide sustainable management initiativesTo ensure compliance with relevant regulations (eg.
