In user experience design at PwC, you will focus on the process of creating and enhancing the overall experience that users have when interacting with a product, system, or service.

Analyse and identify the linkages and interactions between the component parts of an entire system. Overview



As a UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for designing the user flows, screens, and interactions that shape the app's experience. While Service Designers define the broader user journeys across the ecosystem, you will focus on how users navigate within specific journeys and features, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and visually engaging interface.


You will translate high-level journeys into structured user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs, defining the look and feel of the app. Working closely with product teams, technical/development teams, and Service Designers, you will ensure that every interaction aligns with both user needs and technical feasibility. As new UI components emerge through journey and feature design, you will contribute to the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability.





Core Areas of Impact



1. Designing User Journeys & Feature-Level Interactions



Translate high-level user journeys into structured user flows and detailed screen designs. Define interaction patterns, transitions, and navigation structures to create a seamless in-app experience. Ensure that features are designed with usability, accessibility, and clarity in mind.

2. Screen & Interface Design Execution



Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and pixel-perfect high-fidelity UI designs. Ensure visual hierarchy, typography, and spacing enhance readability and engagement. Align designs with brand, best practice and accessibility guidelines.

3. Contributing to the App's UI Patterns & Components



As new UI components emerge from journey and feature design, contribute them to the design system for reuse. Collaborate with the Design System Leadto ensure new elements fit within the broader design language. Maintain visual and interaction consistency across the app.

4. Research-Driven Design Decisions



Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and research to validate design decisions before implementation. Work closely with Service Designers to ensure that feature-level designs align with the broader service experience. Use data-driven insights and user feedback to iterate and refine designs.

5. Agile Collaboration with Technical & Development Teams



Work within Agile squads, ensuring seamless design-to-development handoff. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and design reviews to align with evolving product needs. Adapt designs based on technical constraints, user feedback, and business priorities.

6. Accessibility & Inclusive Design



Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design. Optimise experiences across various screen sizes and devices. Advocate for usability, clarity, and performance improvements to enhance accessibility.

Key Responsibilities



Design and prototype intuitive user experiences across key journeys and features of the app. Develop UI patterns and components as part of journey and feature design, ensuring alignment with broader design standards. Conduct research and usability testing, iterating on designs based on real-world insights. Collaborate with Service Designers, product teams, and technical/development teams to refine user flows and interfaces. Contribute new elements to the design system, working closely with the Design System Lead. Ensure consistency in visual design, accessibility, and interaction principles.

Key Skills & Experience



Proficiency in Figma design tool. Experience designing user journeys, user-flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI components. Strong understanding of interaction design, usability, and accessibility principles. Ability to translate complex user needs into simple, effective UI solutions. Experience working in Agile product teams, participating in sprints and backlog refinement. Strong collaboration skills, working alongside Service Designers, product teams, and technical/development teams. Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, design handoff tools like Zeplin or Figma Dev Mode) is a plus.
