Job Description


Our client is seeking an intermediate-level UX/UI Designer to join their team. In this role, you will design and enhance the user interface and experience elements of digital products, transforming high-level requirements into attractive, intuitive, and functional interfaces through research, testing, and iteration. Key Responsibilities: Design and Conceptualization:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize products and services, leveraging data to drive innovative design decisions.
Customer Experience Mapping:
  • Implement techniques such as voice of the customer initiatives, journey mapping, and qualitative touchpoint analysis to identify and address customer pain points and challenges.
  • Advise on strategies to eliminate negative experiences and enhance customer interactions.
Customer Needs/Experience Research:
  • Conduct research and data analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations.
Product and Solution Development:
  • Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs, selecting the best approaches within established systems.
Internal Client Relationship Management:
  • Build effective relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.
Improvement / Innovation:
  • Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and utilize established change management programs to address them.
Customer Experiences Implementation:
  • Support the implementation of customer experience initiatives, tools, and processes, including customer experience testing.
Personal Capability Building:
  • Develop personal capabilities through assessment and development planning, formal and informal training, and coaching.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education and professional accreditation.

Skills: Interaction Design, Prototyping, Information Architecture:
  • Provide technical guidance and apply expertise in interaction design, prototyping, and information architecture.
Computer and System Skills:
  • Support business processes using standard office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, and design tools such as Zeplin, Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, and Miro.
Market Research and Analysis:
  • Utilize research and analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of market conditions.
Planning and Organizing:
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
Assessment:
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make recommendations.
Verbal and Written Communication:
  • Use clear and effective communication skills to express ideas, request actions, and formulate plans or policies.
Qualifications:
  • Matric / Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent.
  • Relevant design-related qualification (degree / diploma / certificate).
  • 3+ years of UX/UI design experience.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.
