Job Summary
Are you a skilled actuarial professional with a deep understanding of statutory reporting and regulatory requirements? We are seeking a Statutory Actuary to join a leading financial services organization where you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the preparation and review of statutory actuarial reports, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
• Oversee the calculation and reporting of reserves, solvency, and capital requirements in line with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with finance, risk, and actuarial teams to assess the impact of financial assumptions and provide insights for business planning.
• Provide support in regulatory interactions, ensuring accurate communication of actuarial findings to the relevant authorities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of actuarial models, tools, and methodologies to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay updated on changes in regulatory frameworks, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.

Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified actuary (FIA, FASSA, or equivalent) with significant experience in statutory actuarial roles.
• Strong knowledge of local and international insurance regulations, including IFRS, SAM, or Solvency II.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, solvency calculations, and reserve valuations within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Proficient in actuarial software, Excel, and financial modeling tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under tight deadlines
