SCM VALUE DELIVERY AND INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST Reporting line : Head: Supply Chain Management Division: Group Finance Scale Code: 300 Position ID: 60023075 Closing Date: 22 August 2024 PURPOSE To deliver SCM continuous value delivery and intelligence by driving collaboration and alignment across the entire supply value chain by establishing business intelligence , project management oversight , knowledge management , reporting and monitoring efficiencies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. OPERATIONAL PLAN * Drive SAP optimisation , integration and efficiency models and tools * Develop and implement innovative SCM integration and knowledge management tools * Drives the administration of process integration to drive team efficiency and improve productivity * Research and implement ongoing business and process improvements * Drives research based contribution to the SCM demand and contract management framework * Monitors SCM risks , opportunities, disruptions and innovations in the external environment and makes recommendations on value delivery measures. * Provides business intelligence on procurement spend transparency and reporting * Support Category Management with category strategies conceptualization * Provide effective and efficient project management tools from conceptualization to post implementation * Train and mentor SCM on project management * Report and monitor detailed project plans, ensuring on time project delivery and procurement costs management against project plans * Manage and reports on the SCM digital transformation strategy Maintain and manage projects in line with the Annual Procurement Plan * Compile accurate and comprehensive monthly performance statistics. 2. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT * Drive the implementation of the digital transformation project for the Supply Chain M * Streamline processes and reduce Procurement costs * Monitors, audits and report on SCM savings on procurement activities * Monitor and track Procurement spend 3. GOVERNANCE, RISK AND COMPLIANCE * Ensure Compliance with all SCM Policies and Procedures, and all applicable regulations and Acts such as PPPFA, PFMA, BBBEE, and National Treasury instruction notes etc. * Audit integrity of SCM operational performance 4. TRANSFER OF SKILL * Assist SCM Practitioners to develop project management skills * Training/educating and awareness around project management skills * Training and educating on Technology usage and optimisation * Manage innovative Business and SCM integration measures and plans in ensuring optimisation , accuracy and completeness in reporting * Assist the SCM Category Management with industry research for improved spend management 5. STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT * Monitor and maintain relationship with internal and external Stake holders * Work closely with all SCM units (Managers and Practitioners) to ensure and continuous integration and optimisation efforts INHERENT/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Experience in Supply Chain Management industry * Strong in management reporting , business intelligence management and statistical analyses. * Strong Technology skills QUALIFICATIONS * Relevant degree in Finance / Engineering * Post graduate degree in Finance / Engineering or equivalent EXPERIENCE 3 years working experience in Supply Chain Management , Manufacturing , System Engineering KNOWLEDGE * Advanced knowledge and understanding of Project Management * Knowledge of system engineering and optimization models * Proficient with different technology platforms * Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations and other relevant SCM prescripts and Instruction Notes * Understanding of SCM process and bid committee system * Good understanding of contracts and contract administration systems * Knowledge & understanding of various ERP * Exposure of Stakeholder Management and interaction at a senior levels * Presentation and strong communication skills * Strong customer relationship * Proven knowledge in simplifying and resolving complex business challenges * Critical thinker * Solutions driven
