Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Apply varnish to various surfaces on the vessel, including wood, metal, and fiberglass

- Prepare surfaces for varnishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying primer if necessary

- Ensure a smooth and even application of varnish using appropriate tools and techniques

- Monitor weather conditions and adjust varnishing schedule accordingly

- Maintain and repair varnishing equipment as needed

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Collaborate with other crew members to ensure timely completion of projects

- Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Varnisher or in a similar role

- Knowledge of different types of varnish and their application techniques

- Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in varnishing

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the vessel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R8850,00 - R13675,00 per month
