Job Description

An international Fleet Management company seeks to employ a Vehicle Tracking/Fleet management Technician, to be stationed at their Cape Town office.The ideal candidate should have experience in the Fleet/Telematics industry with a great willingness to learn.Key Responsibilities:Installations:

• Ensure installations are done according to company standards and policies.
• Strive to give the best service and in a timely fashion.
• All jobs get tested and completed before closing of job card.

Quality Control:

• Ensure constant adherence to quality as well as to identify and report quality concerns with regards to installations and workmanship.

Customer Care:

• Professionally liaising with clients on-site.
• Conduct yourself in a manner that represents the company ethos.

Technical Support:

• Excellent knowledge of hardware diagrams and understanding of automotive electronics.
• Be able to make changes in the field based on requirements.

Administrative duties

• Complete job cards in detail and close them in a timely fashion.
• Communicate with the coordinating team on updates and challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Matric or Technical Equivalent.
• National Technical Certificate in Automotive Electronics Electronics/Motor Mechanic. (Advantageous)
• Must have good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in installations with regards to vehicle tracking.
• Fleet management products in various vehicle and asset types.
• No criminal records.
• Must have a good working track record.
• Medically fit as you will be required to travel and work in the mining industry.
• Must be prepared to work after hours and weekends.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Computer literate.
