Main purpose

We are seeking a creative and skilled Videographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in creating high-quality digital video content, including lighting, and be able to do basic audio recording for smaller shoots. Alongside a passion for storytelling and educating our youth, the technical know-how to bring content to life is a must. You should be able to execute all areas of your role with expert skill and a proactive, collaborative attitude.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Shoot videos for various digital platforms, including social media platforms such as YouTube. Must be able to shoot for live-streaming (social media). Set up and operate lighting equipment for both video shoots and live streams. Coordinate with teams to ensure videos meet creative objectives and timelines. Ensure all videos meet high-quality production standards. Maintain and oversee the MML technical gear inventory, including audio equipment, as well as advise on the procurement of additional gear.

Educational Requirements

A qualification in videography from a reputable institution, OR a strong portfolio of professional experience.

Experience Requirements

A portfolio of work demonstrating your skill. Strong knowledge of video equipment, including cameras and lighting. Understanding of lighting techniques for video production. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Proficiency in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci, etc.). Proficiency in audio recording (smaller shoots) Proficiency in green-screen lighting setups and key-ing.

Technical Competencies:

Videography & Filming Techniques - Ability to shoot high-quality video content across various digital platforms, including social media and live streaming.

Lighting Setup & Operation - Expertise in setting up and operating lighting equipment for video shoots, including green-screen lighting and keying.

Video Equipment Management - Strong knowledge of cameras, lenses, and audio equipment, with the ability to maintain and oversee technical gear inventory.

Audio Recording - Basic proficiency in capturing high-quality sound for smaller shoots.

Video Editing (Preferred) - Familiarity with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

Stills & Portrait Photography (Advantageous) - Ability to capture high-quality still images, including portraits, event photography, and product photography, with a strong understanding of composition and lighting.

Creative Competencies:

Storytelling & Visual Composition - Ability to craft compelling visual narratives that align with educational and brand objectives.

Attention to Detail - Ensuring high production quality, including proper framing, lighting, and colour balance.
