Position: Server/Waiter/Waitress

We are looking for a customer-oriented hospitality professional with expertise in delivering exceptional service in restaurant environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and a passion for providing top-notch service to guests.

Job Responsibilities

:

Serve food and beverages to patrons in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner. Provide guests with detailed information to assist with food and beverage selections. Present ordered items promptly and professionally. Maintain a welcoming and pleasant dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude. Prepare dining areas by setting tables, arranging decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils. Follow sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies to ensure the protection of both the establishment and patrons. Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining specials, identifying beverage pairings, and answering questions about food preparation. Record and transmit orders to the kitchen and bar, identifying any special dietary needs or requests. Demonstrate proficiency in POS systems, such as Light Speed, to accurately place orders and process payments. Keep kitchen staff informed of meal progression and timing. Deliver orders from the bar and kitchen, along with accompaniments and condiments from service areas. Respond to additional patron requests by proactively observing needs and offering assistance. Maintain table settings by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing any spills or special requests. Conclude the dining experience by thanking patrons, inviting them to return, and ensuring satisfaction. Accurately handle transactions by totalling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or credit card slips to patrons.

Qualifications & Skills

:

Strong general math skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Experienced with POS systems (placing orders, managing transactions) Excellent verbal communication skills Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on resolving conflicts and meeting customer needs Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities High energy level and enthusiasm Attention to detail and thoroughness Professional demeanor at all times

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements

:

High School Certificate or Diploma 1-3 years of experience as a server in a restaurant or hospitality setting
