Qualifications: Diploma in Warehouse Management, Distribution, or Logistics (NQF 6).
Experience: 5 years of experience in Warehouse, Distribution, or Logistics within a Manufacturing environment. Up to 3 years in a Supervisory role.
Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant warehouse/logistics software. Strong understanding of Warehousing and Distribution processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:Warehouse and Distribution Management (45%)
Develop and recommend strategic plans for achieving operational goals.
Ensure warehouse operations meet customer and operational demands.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the receipt, packing, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Manage efficient packing and shipment of export goods.
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through physical counts and system reconciliation.
Ensure proper documentation for goods dispatch and shipments.
Oversee warehouse space utilization and future capacity planning.
Enforce safety and regulatory compliance for hazardous material storage.
Maintain high security standards and procedures within the warehouse.
Oversee the management of the labeling machine.
Coordinate daily planning and deliveries with logistics partners.
Stock Management and Control (15%)
Oversee stock receipts and ensure accurate system updates.
Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.
Compliance (10%)
Operate within company controls and procedures to maintain integrity.
Identify and mitigate departmental risks, maintaining a risk register.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in line with legal regulations.
Customer Service Management (10%)
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Represent the company in meetings with key stakeholders.
Identify and resolve issues efficiently while upholding integrity and company values.
Report on stakeholder-related matters to management.
Staff Supervision (10%)
Ensure employees sign performance agreements and monitor performance quarterly.
Work with HR to set performance objectives and development plans.
Provide training and development opportunities for staff.
Address employee relations issues promptly and fairly.
Cost and Financial Control (10%)
Contribute to budget planning and cost control initiatives.
Promote efficient and transparent use of financial and operational resources.
Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
