Warehouse and Logistics Manager - Cape TownFull job descriptionDescriptionA fast paced fmcg manufacturing based in the Northern Suburbs is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Warehouse and Logistics Manager. As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch, fleet management, stock management and shipping. You will work closely with various teams within the company to ensure that all logistics processes are running smoothly and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory control, dispatch and order fulfillmentMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory levels are optimizedCoordinate with procurement team to prioritize and anticipate incoming shipmentsDevelop and implement warehouse and logistics strategies to maximise operational efficiencyDelegate tasks and responsibilities to warehouse staff and monitor their performance (team of 20)Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standardsManage and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers for deliveries and raw materials on timeEnsure the fleet is maintained and well planned for maximum efficiency (deliveries only in Cape Province)Analyze data and identify areas for improvement in warehouse operationsConduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracyRequirementsBachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related fieldAPICS/ CIPS will be an advantageProven experience in warehouse management and logistics operationsStrong knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics softwareExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong leadership and team management abilitiesAbility to analyse data and make data-driven decisionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of safety and quality control standards in warehousingAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectivelyAbility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
