Eastern Cape, Port ElizabethMonthly Cost To Company (Market related)Our client, specializing in the Manufacturing Industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Warehouse and Shipping Team Leader to their team.The position is based in Perseverance, Port Elizabeth.Note : this is an EE appointment.A wonderful career opportunity awaits you.Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Inventory control or supply chain management is a plus.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or production environment, with at least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of the SAP system related to inventory control and inventory movements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities to track, analyze, and optimize team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of Inventory control specialists.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products within the warehouse.
• Coordinate with other departments to prioritize and schedule outbound shipments to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Train and mentor team members on proper warehouse and shipping procedures, including safety protocols and quality standards.
• Resolve any operational issues or discrepancies in shipping orders, receiving, or inventory management.
• Implement and enforce best practices for warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Collaborate with logistics and transportation partners to optimize shipping and delivery processes.
• Analyse and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse and shipping operations.
