Job Description
A JSE Listed Manufacturer based in the East Rand is looking to employ a Warehouse Manager with 5 years experience in a similar environment.Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Formal Qualification in Logistics / Supply Chain Management (Highly Advantageous)
- Proven experience in warehouse management or similar roles
- 5 years solid experience in a similar role with a stable track record
- MS Office & SAP Experience (Highly Advantageous)
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory, and maintaining high standards of organization, safety and security
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess
- Report any significant issues or discrepancies to management
- Oversee the receiving of incoming goods, ensuring they are correctly counted, inspected and recorded
- Ensure proper documentation and labelling of all goods
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training for warehouse staff
- Train, motivate, and evaluate warehouse staff to enhance their performance and development
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, warehouse activities, and performance metrics
