Job Description


Our client, a leader in the agricultural manufacturing industry in the Free State, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager.Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Logistics or related field.
  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience, within Agriculture/manufacturing/FMCG industry
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory practices.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of final products.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels and warehouse space.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfilment time, cost per unit, employee productivity, and safety incidents.
  • Optimize the use of warehouse management systems.
  • Resolve customer issues related to product quality or logistics.
  • Manage the warehouse budget, including staffing, supplies, and logistics.
  • Arrange efficient transport logistics and monitor delivery processes.
  • Ensure quality control of all products.
  • Develop procedures for handling damaged goods and returns.
  • Provide insights into stock levels and order fulfilment to aid production planning.
  • Maintain minimum stock levels and manage slow-moving stock.
Salary: Dependent on experience, with medical aid included.
