Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description


  • Supervision and management of the finished goods warehouse including receiving, distributing, stacking, marking, issuing and preservation of finished goods.
  • Control of the receipt of finished goods from production and ensuring the required procedures have been followed.
  • Obtain the relevant COCs, COA's and Chips from the laboratory for products requiring them for the relevant customers.
  • Ensure the traceability of products by ensuring documentation is printed and filed correctly.
  • Ensure packaging is intact with the correct labelling of finished goods.
  • Ensure the preservation of the products by making sure that the packaging has not been damaged and the product code and batch number are clearly visible.
  • Management of stock control in the finished goods warehouse, including the maintenance of buffer stock levels
  • Management of stock takes within the Finished Goods warehouse and the investigation of variances.
  • Management of warehouse staff
  • Follow up on urgent items for customers.
  • Ensure that stock is dispatched and delivered correctly.
  • Manage the company fleets, i.e., trucks and forklifts including services, maintenance and vehicle tracking system.
  • Route planning
  • Basic administrative functions and report writing
  • Manage re-bagging and complete the necessary documents.
  • Manage the finished goods inventory.
  • Manage and assist with the receiving and dispatching of finished goods.
  • Receive picking slips and check goods being packed and loaded.
  • Coordinate stock between various branches and agents
  • Ensure fleet delivery route is developed for maximum efficiency and minimizes costs.
  • Manage and monitor all transportation carried out by external transporters and/or couriers.
  • Attend meetings and various discussions relating to various areas for the finished goods warehousing staff and drivers.
  • Assist with welcoming walk-in customers or drivers collecting for customers.
  • Assist with sorting out stock take variance during stock take as well as resolve all variance as soon as possible
  • Matric
  • 3-4 years experience in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift Driver License (advantageous)
  • Drivers License essential
  • Team Management Experience
  • Good literacy and numerical skills
  • Able to communicate in English & Afrikaans
  • Must have excellent planning and coordinating skills.
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to set high goals/standards of performance for self
