PermanentAn international logistics company offering comprehensive logistics services, including air and ocean freight, project logistics, railway transport, warehousing, cross-border e-commerce logistics, and customs clearance, that caters to various industries with a focus on innovation, teamwork, and commitment to excellence is looking for a warehouse supervisor to join their team.As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving operations while also serving as a super user in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The person will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and other key personnel to ensure the efficient functioning of the warehouse. you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficient and effective handling of goods and materials. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, implement operational strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Diploma in relevant field advantageous
2 - 3 years experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and order fulfilment
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably experience as a WMS super user.
Can operate forklift and other material handling equipment preferred
Prior experience in coordinating with shipping carriers and managing inbound/outbound shipments.
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a warehouse environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse setting, meeting tight deadlines.
Adaptability to learn and become proficient in the company's specific WMS quickly.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space.
Team player mindset with a willingness to collaborate and support fellow team members.
Have people management & leadership skillset.Duties:
Oversee, coordinate, and supervise all processes for critical inbound shipment receipts, outbound shipment dispatch, and returns.
Assist in leading a team of staff and be responsible for managing their day-to-day tasks to ensure all activities are fulfilled (carried out) accurately in compliance with quality procedures and standards as well as all ongoing training and performance requirements and assessments.
Collects data and prepares important metric reports, contributes to the companyxe2x80x99s performance monitoring while putting forward ideas on how improved efficiency can be achieved, and be aware of external influences that may always require the company to respond to.
Work with warehouse staff and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Develop cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality.
Arranges collection and schedule deliveries to meet customer needs.
Maintains documents by Standard Operation Procedures and local legislation.
Participates in SOP initiation to reflect the operationxe2x80x99s needs.
Performs other related logistics department duties as assigned.
Supports all operational functions related to our clients.
Reporting for stock movement and availability at the warehouse.
