Our client a Pharmaceutical specialist based in Salt River, Cape TownThe Role: Wash Bay OperatorLocation: Salt River, Cape TownStart Date: ImmediateThe primary purpose of the role is the washing & cleaning of the wash bay area & production equipment according to the company SOPxe2x80x99s, GMP and SAHPRA safety standards.Qualification:
Minimum qualification required:

• Matric / Grade 12 with mathematics & science advantages
• Must have a clear criminal record.

Key Performance Areas
Basic Operations

• Washing, cleaning and sanitization of washbay and production equipment according to the correct method as described in the SOP to ensure consistent cleaning and sanitizing of washbay area
• Ensure correct removal and replacement of equipment in washbay as outlined in the SOP according to legal guidelines
• Ensure corridors, walls and ceilings are routinely mopped and sanitized per department.
• Appropriately document and update cleaning registers daily
• Assist in the clean room equipment status logbooks
• Careful and correct use of cleaning reagents and sanitising solutions
• Complete dilutions of cleaning reagents as outlined in SOPs to ensure all cleaning solvents are accurately diluted and distributed per department
• Equipment and area well maintained and cleaning register completed at the end of each day
• Assist in cleaning and housekeeping of the lobby area and step-over benches.

Health & Safety Standards

• Hazardous situations are reported or resolved immediately
• Incidents /accidents are prevented by correctly using cleaning reagents and equipment, and following health and safety procedures as laid down by legislation and company policy
• Responsible for maintaining the washbay in a clean and tidy state at all times, following approved and validated cleaning procedures. Deviations from the procedures will have a negative impact on the GMP standard of the of the facility
• Uphold company policies, with specific reference (but not exclusive to) to personal hygiene, personal protective equipment and cleaning procedures
• It is the responsibility of each employee to ensure quality of work at each step within the process, preceding and after the step that the employee is performing

• Performing the above tasks in such a manner as to preserve and protect yourself, co-workers, the machinery employed and the integrity of the product throughout
