Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of web developers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage the team's workload, ensuring timely delivery of projects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Web Services Development:
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of web services, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and QA testers, to deliver seamless digital experiences.
  • Ensure the integration of APIs and web services aligns with business requirements and enhances the user experience.
  • Front-End Testing & Mobile Development:
  • Lead the testing of UI components, ensuring they meet design specifications and are compatible across various browsers and devices.
  • Utilize frameworks such as Bootstrap, Angular, AngularJS, and HTML5 to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Analyze and test mobile applications using frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin to ensure they meet industry standards for performance and usability.
  • API Integration & Management:
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across platforms.
  • Manage and troubleshoot API integrations, ensuring they meet the required performance, security, and usability standards.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of JSON responses.
  • Agile Methodology & Project Management:
  • Implement and promote Agile methodologies within the team, leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Utilize project management tools such as JIRA to manage tasks, track progress, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to identify and implement process enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong experience in web development, with a focus on front-end technologies including Bootstrap, Angular, AngularJS, and HTML5.
  • In-depth understanding of mobile development frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin.
  • Expertise in API structures, RESTful services, and handling JSON responses.
  • Leadership & Management:
  • Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodology and tools like JIRA.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with the health (medical aid) industry, with an understanding of the specific regulatory, security, and performance requirements.
  • Education & Experience:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in web services development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Relevant certifications in Agile methodology or web development frameworks would be advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
  • Experience in managing and testing mobile applications for performance and usability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
