Job Description


The role is responsible for developing, optimising, and maintaining the DKMS ZA website, in line with the global DKMS website standards. It is responsible for tracking data analytics for improved user experience and enhanced online donor recruitment and fundraising.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the review and restructure of existing site content for SEO and better user experience. Including the SEO strategy, defining key words and phrases, creating content based on SEO parameters and optimise the content and on-site optimisation.
  • Provide department leadership with regular reports tracking websites and online analytics to assess the impact of digital marketing campaigns, ads, and programs.
  • Lead development of SEO/SEM, PPC, and Google AdWords strategy and projects.
  • Maintain and keep the website up to date, including: copywriting sourcing content, creating, and publishing information and content, report bugs, create change requests
  • UX and user journey
  • Work with JIRA
  • Develop web forms.
  • Establish, maintain, evaluate, and liaison with current/future supporting agencies and external partners.
  • Track daily report, campaign reports, channel reports (Piwik), funnel reporting.
  • Create, manage budget, and optimize campaigns for SEA/ Pid Goggle.
  • Newsletter management (transactional communications) PO Messagebird; PO Mailingwork and Backclick replacements.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field and at least three years experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience using CMS, with basic HTML/coding skills being an advantage.
  • Experience using (and ideally supporting the implementation of) a CRM system.
  • Demonstrable previous success with SEO/PPC and setting up /developing Google AdWords.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting the delivery of integrated campaigns and innovative communication strategies using digital marketing channels.

  • High competence in interpreting web analytics and preparing reports to build understanding of user behavior to influence decision-making and determine strategy.
  • Propensity to learn new applications quickly and to a high level of competence.
  • Ability to plan well, work to deadlines, prioritise tasks and cope with pressure at times.
