Our company in the steel industry (container conversions) is looking for a Welder Manager that is committed, hardworking and a motivated individual to join the team. The Welder Manager function is to plan project goals, drive projects and ensuring project resources are managed accordingly.

Duties & Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques Supervise on-site team and projects. Ensure project targets are met. Perform site inspections. Experience and knowledge within the steel industry is a prerequisite Operate welding equipment to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions Ensure site has necessary consumable and manage consumables effectively. Ensure resources are used effectively so that maximum productivity is achieved. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings Ensure that correct standard operating procedures are adhered to. Submit progress reports to management. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete tasks Manage timesheet and attendance records. Motivates team. Ensure that all machinery and equipment are checked to be safe and in good working order.

Skills & Abilities:

Certificate in welding, metals fabrication, industrial management Organized and detail oriented Leadership and teaching/mentoring Optimize welding productivity and performance Interpret welding symbols and technical drawings Knowledge of welder and welding safety standards Project management methodology
