A company that has emerged as a trailblazer in the Direct Response industry, carving a niche primarily in TV and online marketing is looking for an experienced Area Manager in the Retail Industry for specific accounts, to oversee their business operations in WC region on specific product ranges, specifically Household electrical appliances & audio category Their commitment to innovation is evident in their expansive product ranges, and they strive to constantly evolve, ensuring their clients have access to the best offerings in the market
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or a similar field cy in Microsoft Office preferred
2 -5+ years current experience as an Area Sales Manager in the Retail Industry - specifically Household electrical appliances & audio categories
2-5+ years current experience in generating and maintaining relationships with sales leads in specified accounts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license with a Laptop and Smartphone
Onsite Work / Travel required to Service allocated accounts
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability
Running a small-scale warehouse in terms of returns; repairs and SOH
Be responsible for your retail accounts and/or accounts as assigned by the company
Willing and able to work extended/flexible hours when required
Duties will also include guiding the sales team in your region, setting performance objectives, evaluating, and optimizing operational performance, and ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld
To develop and execute an effective account strategy for growth in the region and opening and maintaining new business
Must have strong administrative skills
Ensuring account and region targets are met monthly
Manage a team of sales representatives (6+)
Be proactive and innovative.
Strong Leadership Skills
Must be assertive, honest, professional, and reliable
Preferably live in the Central Western Cape Area
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the learning and development of the sales team
Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis
Collaborating with Head Office executives to establish and execute sales goals for the region
Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets as communicated via the CEO
Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term
Servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets
Servicing accounts & customers by selling product ranges and meeting customer needs
Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and merchandising techniques
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to ma ort by accomplishing related results as needed
Acts as a troubleshooter for underperforming stores and work with the store manager and promoters to achieve growth and product/brand exposure
Responsible for ensuring all stores within the region achieve their sales targets and key performance indicators
