Job Description

Purpose

To ensure all products produced are costed against the predetermined costing system in GSD and accurately recorded for efficiency control. To ensure the garments costed are manufactured in line with standard operations as costed and all actual recoveries are measured against costed recoveries to generate an efficiency report.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost products using GSD / internal database and report variances

Engage with factory and production supervision to ensure efficient production methodologies and practices

Identify non-performing lines/products and setting up corrective action interventions

Understand line product profile, line capability and ensure central planning teams adhere to this capability

Ensure line and factory efficiencies are calculated

Ensure graphs of Efficiency, Performance and Downtime trends are reported

Understand and be able to implement principles aligned with the LEAN concepts

Apply 5S principles and adhere to these principles in the production environment

Ensure monthly audits are done and advise on any deviation

Apply process of continuous improvements to ensure an increase in efficiency, machine and operator utilization and Reduction in quality incidences per garment

Requirements

3-5 years FMCG industry experience preferably in clothing and textile industry Proven knowledge of Work Study principles and techniques Proven knowledge of 5S's, Lean manufacturing Sound understanding of garment construction Knowledge of Clothing General Sewing Data (GSD) would serve as an advantage Sound project management skills Strong problem-solving skills The ability to analyze and interpret data Excellent communication & presentation skills (both verbal and written) Deadline and results driven Strong Computer literacy Excellent Time management skills
