The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is calling on second- and third-year students studying Horticulture, Nature Conservation and Eco Tourism Management to apply for work-integrated learning placement.Placement will be from 1 January 2025 - 30 June 2025 (Horticulture and Eco Tourism) and 1 January 2025 - 31 December 2025 (Nature Conservation).Placement opportunities are only available in the following fields and gardens: Field of study Placement Work areas

  • Garden planning, development and maintenance
  • Plant propagation and collection management
  • Plant identification, inventory and accessioning

Requirements: Second- and third-year Horticulture, Nature Conservation and Eco Tourism Management students who are self-motivated and enthusiastic are encouraged to apply. Good grades will be a strong advantage.Students who have already graduated need NOT apply. Students must make their own arrangements for accommodation.Ensure that all the below-mentioned documents are uploaded on the application form as failure to submit these documents will result in rejection of the application.

  • Letter from university stating that you need to complete work-integrated learning (this letter must reflect 2025 placement)
